Was Superbowl the worst payoff ever of an NFL season for people who aren't either Eagles or Chiefs fans?

The Superbowl this year had...

-Two teams that have been in the SB discussion for the past 5+ years

- Boring game itself with a blowout Eagles win where the Chiefs were never competitive

- Another year of focusing on Taylor Swift/Mr. Phizer gossip and her chums like Ice Spice down at the game

- Halftime show where a rapper made it about his overdramatic "rap beef" with another grown man when rap beefs have been stupid since the 1990's

Football and the NFL in particular have legitimately sucked in the 2020's thus far. Also, are people done listening to the NFL claim they are a league of parity yet? Just lol

For those of us who were neutral on both teams, it would've been nice to watch a much tighter contest, one of those classic down-to-the-wire finishes. But that aside I have to say the game was pretty eventful. The Eagles impressed immensely on both sides of the ball.

It was fine - while I prefer a close game/exciting finish, we were due for a blowout Super Bowl, and it was entertaining to watch the Eagles dominate. I didn’t find the game boring. I don’t care about the halftime show or about the off the field stuff such as Taylor Swift, I watch for the game action, not the media spectacle.

I really don't care for either team, and wasn't planning to watch. But the GF made really good ribs on her Big Green Egg so we watched the game. I was actually happy to see KC get stomped.

I also think the NFL has been moving more towards suckitude than parity. There are 32 NFL teams but there aren't 32 NFL-level quarterbacks out there. But yeah, I would rather see a few more teams in the hunt than these two rolling towards the Superbowl.

I saw a post that said, "Thank the NFL for the halftime show. I am confined to a wheelchair but thiis performance gave me the strength to get out of my chair, walk over to the TV and shut it the fuck off." Really, go back to marching bands and cheerleaders and if they can find any intelligent play-by-play guys let them give us an intelligent wrap up of the first half. If anyone can still do that in today's corporatized league.

for the love of cheese. Call Fall Out Boy or somebody who can SING. Halftime shows have been bad the last couple of years...

It could have been worse. The game wasn't competitive...but at least I did not have to witness the Chiefs win ANOTHER Super Bowl.
