Bum himself has taken one into the 9th on numerous occasions.

My frustration is that the rule was based on the fact that a full game is supposed to be 9 innings but MLB changed that rule for doubleheaders. So if they are going to change what constitutes a full game, then change the rules for what constitutes a no-hitter for those games.
