Belak's death was ruled to be an accidental overdose of prescription drugs.

I'm not sure if it's worse if it was accidental or if it turns out to be on purpose.

I feel the same dash, being a Sabres fan I didn't like him but this is sad news.

Tough for the NHL, too. Outside of just the straight up community loss, all they need are more issues over players health and safety issues to be concerned about. It could honestly be a total coincidence and have nothing to do with the game of hockey. But it just seems like another thing they will have to examine moving forward on top of concussions, dangerous hits, etc.

Bad things happen in 3s. Hopefully we don't see this headline again next month. He's my age and had a whole life ahead of him. Tragic.
