I think even with Salo on the shelf I would rather see Bieksa moved. I wouldnt mind trying to get some young kids up and coming in the system and see how it works out on the 5th/6th spot

three months for Salo puts us to late October.

honestly, I have washed my hands of Bieksa now. It has nothing to do with his contract.
That sneer comes out at the most inopportune times. He rarely played tough between the whistles anymore.

my lasting impressions for Bieksa are:
- Kopitar scoring a late GWG in round 1, all alone in front while Bieksa is standing by himself on the far face-off dot.
- Versteeg scoring a late GWG in round 2, because Bieksa couldn't handle a 50 foot pass, and then couldn't recover.

Raymond's agent is J.P. Barry who, as JStew pointed out a while back, is undefeated in arbitration hearings. This might just be a case of the player wanting to get the deal done.
