WTF is up with the student section at the game? I realize those are bad seats, but still the pictures are not showing PACKS of students at the bottom.

UNL is going to have to allow the students to give those tickets or sell those tickets to NON-students or something. I actually saw a lot of empty seats up high all around the east side of the stadium.

My wife, one high school kid, and me would be going. Show the high school kid that has engineering aptitude what another B1G school looks like, the one that is focused on engineering more than the others. We won't be able to afford him to go to Northwestern unless we get lucky. We could, but I don't plan on selling any of our investments that are for our retirement. We already have one in college right now.

Usually, I would buy tickets, but my wife suggested that we gamble on scalped tickets. Since I have never purchased scalped tickets, I am game to try. I use to stand in line for major concert tickets in Denver Colorado, bought my limit then sold my extras at the end of the line so all my tickets were paid for, so I was a scalper.

The plan is to drive over early, go to game, then drive home. A lot of driving, but I am game for that. Plus, I can see another B1G stadium. I have been to Ohio State, Northwestern, Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Penn State. In the Big 12, I went to Colorado, Oklahoma, Kansas, Kansas State, Iowa State and the Big 12 Championship in St. Louis.

Plans are for Illinois next year. I highly doubt I will ever go to Rutgers or Maryland, buy you never know.

When I was initially looking at the seats, the cheapest were $18.00. This was before the UCLA game.

After UCLA and after Purdue smelling it up, the ticket prices dropped to $6.00. Earlier this morning they were at 3.00 in those end zone seats. But I am wanting on the sidelines and those are around $50.00 each or so, give or take $10.

I was thinking of writing a sign saying exactly what seats I want and my price of $25.00 each. See if I could get any takers.

Half of the fun for me would be to get tickets cheaper than what Stub Hub is offering. Got to cover gas, food, etc.

BTW, never ever order a pretzel at Northwestern Ryan Field. Absolutely the worst pretzel that my wife or I have ever had. We each took a couple of bites and decided we would rather eat garbage left under the seats by others around us.

Stubhub, cheapest tickets now down to $1.75. So, the cheap tickets have gone from $18(when I first started looking) down to $1.75. Supply overwhelms demand.

Checked Purdue website for tickets. Purdue is still asking face value, but shows a HIGH availability of tickets in several zones of the stadium. Especially, the NE end zone area.

On the Purdue website the cheap south end zone seats are all sold out, and those are the ones on the internet for $1.75.

Some seats I thought about buying yesterday were snagged. They were in row 2, section 104.

A slight snag has developed though. My wife's left knee has decided to do something. She is seeing an orthopedist(spelling) today about the knee. She might be undergoing a surgery in the near future.

If she can't walk, she is not going. If she is laid up, I am not going.

If she can muddle around the house on her own, my son and I are going.

The whole thing rests on the doctor visit in one hour.

Wife is cleared to go. Since she is going, I decided to buy tickets in row 1. I figure less stairs that way. No idea how much walking she can do to get there though. Hopefully, I can drive up close to the stadium to drop her off.

I bought five tickets through stubhub. Prices came down some more.

Three tickets at $1.25 each, normal price $14.00 each, end zone seats. with all the fees thrown in, $14.00 for all three tickets.

Two tickets at $18.00, normal price $39.00 each, row one, section 103, with all fees thrown in, $46.00.

My plan was to try and scalp section 103 or 104 tickets at $25.00 each on Saturday, I would have paid $75 to get them but I would have had to find a seller.

Now, I have five tickets for $60.00 bucks total, unfortunately not all together, but I don't have to find a seller.

If we want to sit together we can in the cheap seats. If our son wants his alone time, he can have his own seats and my wife and I sit in row 1.
