Don't kill the messenger 757 but its not Green

Keep in mind, I don't know any of these players. So if I say anything completely out of character, I am not insulting them.
1 Robert Brown- I don't think so? He gets tons of minutes and starts from time to time. He also has had a lot of opportunity to make plays in Greenberg's offense.
2 Joey van Zegeren - possibly? I don't know if the RS was forced upon him or not
4 Cadarian Raines- I don't think so. He seems really upbeat and proud of his hokie family. Most likely the starter at 5 next year.
10 Marquis Rankin- I don't think so. He has a few starts and plenty of minutes. He doesn't spell Erick Green much, but does get a lot of time at the 1 with Green at the 2.
11 Erick Green- confirmed no
15 Dorian Finney-Smith- Possibly? I bet he was the primary ball handler and star on offense in high school. Now he's forced to make his offense with offensive rebounds and putbacks and doesn't get a lot of looks with the ball in his hands. I think he might go somewhere else so he can handle the bar more.
31 Jarell Eddie - I don't think so.
42 C.J. Barksdale- maybe? He does not get a lot of minutes, but I think he'll play the 5 a lot next year with Davila gone. He'll have an off season to beef up for 5 as well.
Losing players has been the one constant in this program. It's a very uncomfortable rate of turnover, which makes me question the root problem behind it.
This time around, unless it's Green, I won't be surprised.
literally the only guy id be ok with losing would be robert brown. i just dont see the potential there.

Nope this is recent news.
well i'm glad its not green...so sounds like DFS? well hopefully we can do what we have to to keep him around
I think that's my point. In HS, he had the ball in his hands a lot. Even if he didn't make a play, he set up other guys. Now he is forced to play down low and set screens since he is the 4 in Greenberg's offense. He does get the ball up top from time to time and makes a play but most of his offensive touches comes from offensive rebounds and putbacks.FTR: DFS did have big numbers in HS (as you would expect from just about any major college bball player) but he was known as much for distributing the basketball and such as he was a scorer.
Young players want playing time and do not want to sit on the bench. Greenberg isn't a paint a pretty picture guy. He's going to the player what he does not want to hear.I too was upset with Atkins and to some extent Boggs transferring. I thought both could contribute, Atkins especially, yet Greenberg NEVER played them. He practically killed Delaney and Co playing them almost the entire game. I don't blame them for transferring.

I could be totally off, but from some reason I think that's the most likely besides Barksdale or Joey VanZengren. I hope Barksdale does not leave. He seems like he's a high motor guy that's an off season away from being strong enough to play and defend in the low post for extended minutes.
Who said 18, 19 year old athletes have their head on straight?Everything I've seen from DFS, indicates he needs to really work on receiving and passing the ball. At times, he's as bad as Eddie fumbling simple passes. Regardless, any player on this team who is talking transfer at this point in the season doesn't have his head on straight.
