Well that sucked. Just can't seem to close on a lot these types of players. Hopefully Whit is working to convince the coaches that recruiting is an entire staff event so we can make a better impression for these guys. I mean its not like we lose them all to 5 star programs. We lose them to schools on or just a tad below our level as well. I'm just going off years of hearing tidbit rumors but I think the root cause of that is just an effort thing. Recruiting nowadays is a huge undertaking and newer coaches get it. Our staff as a whole is still stuck in the past a bit.

FJ was a project, and while he may have turned out very good in a couple years, guys like Clark and Plantin are more likely to be early contributors. Plus we're not done with OL recruiting....
