Fwiw, Ferrell was not as high on the Virginia Tech coach's board as he is on the recruiting sites. The coaches don't use the websites to recruit.

This isn't spin. It is what it is though. He is still an in your face loss in the surface.

I would guess you know more than me, but I find it difficult to swallow that a consensus top 10 player in the state "wasn't that high on our coaches boards"

I'm guessing they wanted him and would have liked to have had him on the team, but maybe it just wasn't a love connection.

It's got to go both ways, and I'm sure they sometimes notice if the affection is going another direction.

He was high, but not top 10 in the state. He was a tweener and very very raw. The coaches had a couple of other DEs higher than him that arent higher in the rankings. This of course doe any mean that we are a lock for those guys though. I will be the first to say when we lose one.
