Why exactly has he been waiting for a VT offer? Does he have some connection to VT? If so, I would have thought we'd have been one of the early teams to offer. Mallard Creek has been putting out big time players left and right lately.

He has family that likes VT and are VT fans. It's not a strong connection, but it's a connection nonetheless. He's high on Clemson, but I think he'd give VT serious consideration once we offer. I don't know the reason for the lack of offer. I'm sure it has to do with a large class in 2012 and making sure there were available scholarships, plus our reluctance to offer without going through our own process. But for players like North, O'Daniel, etc who seem geniunely interested in VT, we need to move faster. Establishing relationships are huge, and while the coaches have done that without offering, the offer gives the star kids an incentive to visit the school.

Per free side of Rivals, OL Bryce King from Dillon, SC received a VT offer.

Tyler Boyd was offered and ibelieve DeSean Hamilton was offered but I'm not sure on him. Both per twitter
