2/1 is going to be huge. I remember calling a buddy back in the day with "We got Oxendine!" on NSD. I'm looking forward to a nice recruiting finish on Wednesday. The shuffled coaching staff is getting things done.

when clemson was getting rocked in the orange by the 'neers .. i wonder if there was at least a slight bit of regret from anthony for not picking vt? bud foster would probably stroke out before he'd let a team put 70 up on his ass, much less wvu. the day 70 gets put up on our d is the day we can pack it in for awhile

maybe venable will make it worth it for him

so, kirven had a great visit?? great to hear .. cautiously optimistic -- if we get all three of em, finishes off a great class -- and makes me more excited for future classes and our recruiting changes than our '12 class to be honest.

If Shane lands Caleb on Wednesday, he will be tops on the Tech staff with 8 verbals. Tremendous work!

Well, it did take us TWO games to give up 61 points...and that was still less than WVU's 70 points in ONE game.

Just speaking for me personally, Clemson's beat-down by WVU eased my suffering a fair amount.

This is how i understand it as well. I think Miami is waiting to see if one of their linebackers are going to jump ship first.

I don't know why, but I was just looking at Rivals player rankings and noticed that Donaldven Manning is way higher than I remember. They now have him at #140 and the 11th best cornerback. Not that these rankings matter, but that's pretty impressive.

He was a 3* when the first rankings dropped, highest 3* CB. Then he was unranked 4* then top 250 then he balled out at whatever bowl he did and made the jump.

And upping the offer does nothing if Miami offers. Just cross your fingers that Northrup gives Miami the idea that he'll sign with them. I doubt Miami would hesitate to drop the GS offer to him if they get an inkling of a notion that Northrup might not go and Blue will still probably take that. Sincerely doubt we beat out any Miami offer.

Blue would be Top 25 in the state if he played in VA. Still very touted in FL.

Hmmm.. WVu easily dropping SEVENTY points in 1 game vs. a team we could only score one TD on this season....
