VIP tailgate at candlestick

Hoping to get to first 49er home game from Iowa this year for the rams game. Is the VIP tailgate worth the extra $150-200 per ticket (usually going for $350 total per ticket package in good seats)? We don't know anyone in SF to tailgate with so not sure if there are any bars in the area like lambeau field or if you have to know people to tailgate. Any advice is appreciated!

Coming from IOWA, going to your first home game and if money is not an issue I would go with the VIP tailgate. Its is pretty awesome. All you can eat buffet and unlimited beer and wine. Cant go wrong. Its a fun experience. As much as people talk smack, Niner fans are pretty friendly and welcoming especially to other 49er fans. Coming all the way from IOWA you wont have a problem. The Stick isn't located in the nicest of areas and there isn't any downtown or bar areas to hang out at.
