Lol at the lack of any decent discussion here during a huge offseason and just reposting MSM links we can all find in 2 seconds by googling "minnesota vikings". This place isn't even a shell of what forums from the 2000's were when it comes to this stuff.

Would you?

Nope. I see no reason to get rid of him as things stand. Hoping McCarthy still being on his rookie deal works out and helps them hang onto Addison longer than they might have been able to otherwise. You don't trade away a good young player with multiple years left on their rookie deal for less than a haul.

I like that they're focusing on the trenches. Would like to see a NT added.

mildly surprised they didn't trade back. looking at what giants traded and falcons traded to move up, not sure I don't make the move back

with that said, glad our IOL was totally reworked, hopefully works. tired of watching an OL get no push and short yard situations were such nailbiter and you prefer to be at 5 over 1 in goal to go situations....

Yeah I wasnt over the moon about the selection either and then the very next two picks were traded for the exact type of package that the Vikes should have been looking for.

But as a prospect, I do like Jackson. I just dont see him as a true 1st round value type of guard. And if you are taking a guard in the 1st round, I feel like you need to be thinking he is likely going to be a perennial pro bowler and I just dont see that when I look at him.

The entire Vikings offseason could be summed up with: "They went 100% all-in on trying to beef up the team for J.J. McCarthy". That's really what it all boiled down to.

I know the idea of having fewer draft picks some years might sting with the combo of what they gave to get both McCarthy and Dallas Turner out of the 2024 draft, but people clamoring for the Vikings to get back to the bangwagon of regularly trading back in drafts have short memories. It was only 3 short seasons ago that we had Rick Spielman running Vikings drafts, and we all know how much he loved trading backs for stockpiles upon stockpiles of later draft picks, 90%+ of which never did anything anyway. Trading back can be good, but it's just as dumb as over-paying to trade up if none of the guys you trade back for ever do anything besides keep the benches warm and practice rosters filled.
