The slave is at it again. I want to change my number but league rules say I have to buy up all the shirts with the old number first. All I can say to that is "boo hoo".
Guess he doesnt realize the amount of money companies have to pay the NFL just to get their products on the exclusive NFL list. Thats why players get fined if a logo that isnt NFL approved isnt covered up or removed. Granted, the whole practice is the greedy owners making even more money by selling exclusive licenses.
Case in point: The company my wife works for makes the headsets the coaches wear on the sidelines. They used to GIVE them the headsets and all the support on the audio stuff free. They used to say "TELEX" on them. Now they say "Motorola". Why? Because the NFL decided TELEX had to start paying them to have their product name displayed, and TELEX said F U. So Motorola paid the NFL, and TELEX makes the headsets with Motorolas name on them. (TELEX got bought out by Bosch a few years back and TELEX no longer exists as a corporate entity, but they still make the headsets and the wife still works there).
