People think they're not that good???

I've heard the Diver/Sister comments, but usually people save that type of vitriol for players who are very good.

They do go down easily (giggity) sometimes (ala Thornton, lol), but they're tough (in the sense that they don't miss games and go to traffic areas), good players.

I would have agreed with those people 3 years ago MAYBE. Now, anybody who says they aren't stars are either blind, don't know hockey, or are non-Swedish xenophobes. They're both legit, bonafide stars as far as I'm concerned.

I went to school in Southern California and a bunch of my buddies are Kings fans....and I'll use any chance I get to boo the fuck out of the Ducks. I used to love the Kings too because my favorite player growing up was Felix Potvin.....wait, why am I explaining myself to a filthy Flames fan???

And secondly, yes, you are entirely correct. I think I've got the next Ducks commercial.....Ryan Getzlaf is a lousy head model.....but he's one heck of a hockey player.

That one where they pass back and forth in the slot is absolutely hilarious. Stuff like that reminds me of the Datsyuk deke. It doesn't look all that big, but it just kills the goalie.

basically the issue here is the same as joe Thornton. They'll be know by the damning title of great "REGULAR" season players until they win a cup. certainly didn't help matters any last year

The thing that really sticks out in my mind, and made me lose a lot of respect for Daniel was what he said before Game 7 of the Cup Finals. He originally said that the Canucks will win. Then backed off of it leading up to game time. That showed me that the drive needed to win just wasn't there. If he would have said nothing, then no problem. But since he originally said they would, then backed off, it just looked like a lack of confidence in his club.
