Nothing confirmed but according to initial reports, sources close to the Cavs are saying its a possible torn Achilles. MRI will be Wednesday to confirm.

That's going to hurt the Cavs quite a bit if he's done. They just had started to figure out how to play defense together as a team and he's their lone rim protector.

Yep first big blow for them.

He was the one guy I worried about in the offseason in terms of staying healthy. The injury bug has hit him hard in the previous 2 seasons.

Now, Thompson will probably start at center in a small ball lineup. Unless, they start Haywood.

The man is injury PRONE.
No shocker that he somehow got injured.
I don't wish injury on anyone, so don't take this the wrong way , but I seriously doubt Kyrie and or Love also don't at some point sustain an injury because it is also the norm for them.

James has been remarkably healthy for his entire career. At some point does his luck run out?

I wouldn't call love injury prone but yeah wouldn't be surprised if kyrie goes down for a few weeks with something....he's been injury prone since duke

Even if so, they still need him to win.

Not this shit again. Another problem i have with those stats is that players tend to get lazy when they have certain defensive players around them. Ive seen it happen a million times. Thats where coaching comes in. I can remember one of the biggest reasons Phil Jackson would have a shit attack is when muthafuckas wouldnt hustle back. One of our biggest problems currently on the Lakers as well.

Just reported celtics and Cavs in discussions with a third team. Trade will give Boston Cavs Memphis pick and perhaps another trade exception . Wright is the center piece of deal.

This is one amazing stick pile . This in essence will give celts two first rounders and somewhere between 13 to 16 m in trade exceptions for rondo deal

Thompson will be fine as starter. The issue comes with who now replaces Thompson as the backup center

:agree:

Injuries at the Center position is what I think will derail the Cavs and Warriors after the first round of the Playoffs.

The Cavs were vulnerable with Andy. So, without him? :gaah:

If Bogut and Lee are healthy, Spurs vs. Warriors.

I never said Love was injury prone.
Only, specifically Varejao.

I do agree both Kyrie and Love will miss some games do to smaller type injuries though.
They just need to hope to be healthy in April and moving forward to obviously have any championship chance although at this point I think they could easily get knocked out in round 2.
