Damn I'm gettin sick of having to root for all these other teams and then none of them pulling through :D

TCU got hammered in the computers this week with their trophy opponents all losing.

Baylor
Oregon St
Utah

Their close win over San Diego St. won't matter in the computers other than SDSU having another loss in their total. Just like a win is a win, a loss is a loss.

However, the close win over SDSU with their 'quality opponents' losing it may stick out in the minds of the humans to cause a bit of doubt.

Doubt for the non AQ's is the friend of one loss teams..

The doubt already exists.

Exhibit A:

1. Oregon (AQ)
2. Auburn (AQ)
3. TCU (non AQ)
4. Boise St (non AQ)

See I'm starting to think the human voters are going to keep us behind teams like LSU with 1-loss now.......with their apparent love for SEC teams and with 2/3 of the BCS formula relying on the human vote. Not to mention the computers like LSU quite a bit already.

Then you need to be a huge Arkansas fan..:D

LOL.........right now I'm a huge fan of whoever in the NCAA can get the ball rolling on the Cam Newton investigation and get it taken care of.

Nothing will piss me off more than to see Auburn win out and then have it all stripped away later because the NCAA couldn't get this shit squashed sooner........and then have no national champion

You need to look at it as a "body of work".

It will not only look good in the computers, but also in the minds of the human voters.

what happens then if a team plays another twice but comes out of it 1-1, like if we had played Ut in the CCG but we beat them the second time

The team that win's the second game would get a boost. The team that lost would get punished..

Nothing is going to be done about Cam Newton in the next few months so forget about it.

It's up to Auburn and only Auburn whether he plays or not. Without any concrete evidence and after already winning 11 games they have no choice but to roll the dice and play him for all all the marbles.
If the NCAA uncovers concrete evidence in their investigation next year or the year after Auburn will have to vacate 14 wins instead of 11. What's the diff?

Like I said........if Auburn wins the National Championship, and then has it stripped away leaving no team to be a National Champion...........I will hate Auburn for the rest of my life.

Only if Auburn 'knew' they were playing an ineligible player.

However, by NCAA rule it won't matter if they knew or didn't know. The wins will be vacated.

The NCAA doesn't strip football titles. It would be up to the BCS and AP to strip Auburn of their titles.

Honestly though I don't even care............I'll tell you this much though, Alabama isn't gonna beat Auburn and neither is South Carolina.

With a national title on the line? With only hearsay evidence to go by, and the kid and his dad denying the story?

NOT...

Daddy came out and admitted it Friday.........but he said "my son has nothing to do with this because he didn't even know I was doing it."

"The solicitation of cash or benefits by a prospective student-athlete or another individual on his or her behalf is not allowed under NCAA rules."

"The decision to rule a student-athlete ineligible is made by the university, not the NCAA. We do not suspend student-athletes. It is a school action. The university can then seek reinstatement on behalf of the student-athlete and reinstatement decisions are made by the NCAA."

As I said before, this is all on the University of Auburn. They are rolling the dice..

Are they really rolling the dice though?? His dad admitted to doing it, so they have solid evidence............Auburn knows 100% for sure they are going to get everything stripped from them..........so they play Cam anyways.

Like I said, I don't think Tom Osborne would play the kid having proof that they broke NCAA rules.

Where did dad admit it? I haven't seen this..

I wouldn't write off the AL UA game quite so fast, there's a lot of hate between those two schools, I would give it a coin flip chance
