it was awhile ago, I made the assumption that the Bengals named their DC by simply defaulting to "promote from within the family" habits.
I was reamed for this fallacious reasoning, and rightly so. Guenther is a defensive genius, like Dick Lebeau for example.

Guenther in his 2nd year will determine what happens...If we stay in the 20's Vance will be DC in 2016 or HC....1 or the other.... Mike Brown kept Vance around as he plans to replace Guenther if he doesnt get it right in 15'.....Hue Jackson was brought on years ago and WE ALL knew eventually where he would end up..... Hue has to solve Pitt though....He cant beat Pitt with his offense... He got his ass stamped when he was in Oakland and now here... Devise a game plan to beat those fuckers...

He threw the ball all over the yard against them in game 1 this year..... The wheels just came off when his ginger qb had a brain fart and fucked up the entire game.
In game 2 he had his offense humming in the second half behind a good ground game and safe passing attack. We were driving with a chance for the lead with less than 4 minutes when our prize player fumbled the ball.
Hue bothers me sometimes, but I'd hardly say his offense can't beat Pittsburgh. I think most teams' offenses can beat Pittsburgh. Stopping them is another thing.
