The good thing about the Pac12 this year (despite what any of the haters say) is that top to near bottom a lot of teams are solid. Because most of the teams Arizona plays are mediocre-to-good, instead of bad-to-worse, as it was a few years back, it's easy to stay focused.

Far easier to take each opponent seriously when each opponent you face has a serious chance of pulling off the upset. (WSU and USC being the exceptions...Oregon isn't far behind)

He's not the brightest crayon in the box. I'm sure his teammates don't appreciate it either as it only adds more motivation for Arizona.

Xavier Johnson was highly recruited by Sean Miller as a Sophmore/Junior in HS. He is from LA and he really liked the Cats growing up... then Miller got commitments from guys Grant Jerrett and Brandon Ashle and Miller pulled his scholarship offer to Johnson, who then chose Colorado.

He is salty and hates Arizona as a result... carries it as a chip on his shoulder like he wasn't good enough, kind of like how Doug Gottlieb always wanted to play for Lute and play for his HS buddy Miles Simon and when Olson didn't want him Doug held a 20 year grudge against the program.

Take whatever come out of XJ's mouth as it is.

On a "We all saw that one coming" note: Josh(ua) Smith is at it again...

Georgetown center Josh Smith will miss the remainder of the season because of academic issues, coach John Thompson III announced Friday.

Smith transferred from UCLA to Georgetown after the first semester of his junior season and, in a controversial move that defied traditional logic, was ruled eligible before the start of this season and given two full years of eligibility. Obviously, Smith has squandered the NCAA's questionable generosity.

It's because they are young, with new pieces. Their three best players are two sophomores and a Jr. transfer.

To be fair and play devils advocate, they are 15 points from being undefeated in the pac12. They lost by 2 points in overtime to Oregon, 2 points to Washington, 3 points to WSU, and 4 points to asu. They have a pretty good team and Loveridge is legit, I would love to have that guy on the UofA... but they have not figured out how to win close games because they don't have a lot of veteran leadership.
