What good would it do to have this game at Arrowhead????

Husker fans would have traveled down South and packed the Superdome..........there aren't gonna be many USM fans who feel like traveling all the way to Kansas City.

Might as well hold the damn game in Lincoln again.

Wouldn't do much for Nebraska except allow for a 5 hour travel. What would it do for USM, about 2 to 2.2 million guarantee, at least that's what was reported on the radidio.

Kansas City sucks at hosting college football games. It's as if nobody knows they're going on. "Come here, stay in our hotels, eat our food, and shop, but don't expect any effort on our part".

Got stuck in a traffic jam on I-435 north of Arrowhead heading to a Nebraska/Okie St game years ago.
We were stuck for over an hour and a half, at some points not moving for 10 minutes. Husker fans were out on the interstate tossing footballs. Even had people going car to car to ask if they could buy a couple of beers from the cooler. When we got to the Arrowhead exit there wasn't a cop to be found directing traffic. The intersection was pure clusterfuck. It took another 25 minutes to get from there to a parking spot. Had tickets to the Husker beer tent but the game had already started 10 minutes earlier so it was already closed.
First cop I saw was at our gate.

Was chatting with the bartender at the hotel and she asked "how come all these Nebraska people are here :L

Give me Nawlins. They'll know who's coming, it's their business.

This is generally true of KC for anything other than basketball tournaments. It's good for me though being here; I'll get to see a team I follow actually WIN in Arrowhead.

Looking like a sure thing for Arrowhead. S. Miss apparently won't be able to support seat sales at the Superdome. They know Nebraska will send a sure 60K to KC.

Good news for the folks living in KC, in and out of prison both. It's a short drive from the NE. The wife and I may be in the States for some training for her career progression and I have some friends in Raymore MO, south KC, so I can double up in that event.

It appears that T.O. is in negotiations to have this game now moved to Lincoln..

There's a new city in the running for next season's Nebraska-Southern Miss game:
Lincoln.
It's become possible Nebraska could have eight home games in 2013, Husker athletic director Tom Osborne said Friday.
The Southern Miss athletic department reportedly is deeply in the red and looking for ways to generate revenue. That's why it is willing to move what was originally scheduled to be a home game against Nebraska on Sept. 7, 2013, in Hattiesburg, Miss.
As recently as June, it appeared Southern Miss would move the game to New Orleans' Superdome. Then, earlier this month, Osborne said the teams were "exploring the possibility" of playing next season at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Mo.
More recently, however, playing the game in Lincoln became a possibility, meaning Nebraska could have eight home games next season. That would be very appealing to NU officials, in part because each home game generates $5 million-plus in revenue.
"It's pretty much at Southern Miss' discretion as to where we play this game," Osborne said Friday. "It's still not finalized, but we have had some discussions (about playing in Lincoln)."
The schools in September played the first game of what was to be a 2-for-1 arrangement in which they would play twice in Lincoln -- a 2015 game in Lincoln also is scheduled.
If their game is moved to Lincoln next season, Nebraska wouldn't have a road game until Oct. 12, at Purdue.
Meanwhile, sources told me Nebraska's home-and-home series against Miami, set for 2014 and 2015, may be in jeopardy. Nebraska remains committed to the series, Osborne said.
