lol at the NCAA. They should have just told the truth regarding the PSU reduction of sanctions, instead of saying they made "progress with athletic integrity," they should have said we came down to harsh and were in no position to do so.

Now what do they with USC?

LOL at the NCAA. It really is a joke of an organization.

They should have them reduced if PSU had theirs taken back a bit. Can't blame USC one bit for fighting it.

I don't think sanctions are USC's problem.

Can of worms that shouldn't have been opened but USC definitely has a case. Have fun when Ga Tech, North Carolina, Boise State, Oregon and Tennessee call.

its unlikely. but therese definintely a case. because now couldn't USC basically say oh well were showing progress so wheres our reduction? going to back to the case it was real lackluster evidence anyway...pretty sure theres been some reports since the sanctions took effect that the ncaa acted inproperly...some committee members tried to persuade the decision..through emails...todd mcnair won a case defamation of character....in the end ncaa will probably say oh well too bad we were shady crooks but we don't have to take back anything

I think they will. First because its the right thing to do. Then, actions taken since USC have shown how disparate and unfairly USC was treated. The damage to the USC program is far in excess of reason for just about any offense. I think they'll do it before the fiasco of this Miami investigation is resolved making them the three stooges of athletics.

From what i read, word on any relief from the ncaa is expected soon so sc can recruit accordingly with the potential additional schollies for the 2014 class. Im not holding my breath tho,sc has already tried to appeal twice and failed both times.

Miami should be all over this and get their upcoming penalties reduced down to time serverd.

And the Cowboys too. Why wait for the hammer. Get your redcution request in first.

Apparently you're not the brightest bulb in the box then!! Aside from the easy Kiffin shots that folks take, because of injuries, USC has been suiting up fewer than 60 scholarship athletes!!

Let's see what would happen to Oklahoma with these same sanctions and suiting up ferwer than 60 scholarship athletes!!

At least with USC, no one knew how badly the NCAA mishandled the investigation and how badly they violated their own rules until well after the investigation was over and the punishment levied.

With Miami, it's already out about how badly they've messed up. I the NCAA does anything other than apologize to Miami, the Canes should sue the crap out of them!!

For what it's worth. Just heard on the radio that this appeal has also been denied.

The NCAA should meet with Jim Tressel about reducing his punishment. The guy was basically blackballed from every getting another head coaching job in college football. Nice to see him putting it back in their faces by working as an administrator with Akron. NCAA is a complete joke.

He should join Todd McNair's lawsuit. If you gonna get blackballed, might as well get paid in the process.

Yep.. was denied.

"There is no comparison between USC and Penn State," the NCAA said in a statement Friday. "USC's appeal was denied, and there is no further consideration being given."
