Just read this on CBS Sportsline...
The great thing about this championship for USA Hockey is how the roster was spread throughout the country, illustrating just how much the game has grown in the United States.
The U.S. national teams used to be made up of players almost exclusively from Minnesota, Michigan and Massachusetts. This team pulled players from 14 states, including Florida (Shayne Gostisbehere), California (Grimaldi), Ohio (J.T. Miller and Connor Murphy), Texas (Seth Jones), New Jersey (John Gaudreau) and southwestern Pennsylvania (Gibson, Vince Trocheck, and Riley Barber)
Yep. More & more of the top athletes in the USA are playing hockey. I hope the lockout doesn't change things.
