meh. its not as big a loss when we lose at least not to me. I like that the US won its better for hockey when these teams are doing better. for the 14 straight medals to end is a little disappointing but we need a kick in the ass to get it a little more straight. this was it. next year to me will be more disappointing with no gold.

The great thing about this championship for USA Hockey is how the roster was spread throughout the country, illustrating just how much the game has grown in the United States.

The U.S. national teams used to be made up of players almost exclusively from Minnesota, Michigan and Massachusetts. This team pulled players from 14 states, including Florida (Shayne Gostisbehere), California (Grimaldi), Ohio (J.T. Miller and Connor Murphy), Texas (Seth Jones), New Jersey (John Gaudreau) and southwestern Pennsylvania (Gibson, Vince Trocheck, and Riley Barber)
