This kind of shit has been going on too long. I don't like Meyer for whatever reason, but the mob mentality of the press and public is getting ridiculous. He didn't cover up anything, he just decided it was not his place to make it public. You don't fire a guy for that.

I agree that it wasn't his place to make it public.
However, it WAS his place to deal with it. At the very least, he should have suspended him and forced him to get counseling, if not fire him.
