If they can dump it, sure get rid of him. But Hanley's also one year removed from a good 2016 season and he might be the kind of player that plays better when he's more involved at 1B. I'll be more optimistic if the shoulder's healed as well. That's not to say the Sox didn't overpay for him (they did).

I certainly hope he returns to "form" next season but i am not counting on it
