Well, I like Hendrick getting the experience at QB, if we can salvage the win.

With all respect to Joe, it looks like the Southwick era is finally over.

Southwick is out for the season, broken ankle. But #27, Ajayi, is a beast, one of the best RB's in college football this year. 222 yards, 3 td's, outstanding in anyone's book. Hedrick also used his speed and took over the game in the 2nd half.

Even though Boise didn't cover the point spread, they assumed control and cruised to a win over a scrappy team. They lost three starters during the game. I was impressed.

A bold prediction: Boise replays Fresno for the league championship, and beats them. Meanwhile, I'm plenty focused on BYU next week, not going to be easy on 5 days prep.

Hedrick ability to run the option after the read opens up the middle for Ajayi. That is the way the read option is suppose to work. Southwick could never get that concept, he would always just hand the ball off to Ajayi, even when the ends were crashing to the middle. Hedrick read the ends and kept the ball and made the offense work. Looked like the BSU offense of the Z years. I'm not sure Hedrick can throw the deep ball but time will tell.
Tough game this week @ BYU, but I feel we have a better chance with Hedrick.

I agree. I'm anxious to see the Patti wagon too. The kid is tremendously fast and has a hose.

Hendrick and Ajayi had big days. Let's keep things in perspective though. Nevada's run defense is an out and out joke, easily one of the worst in the entire nation. That being said it was a good win and I'm proud of the way Boise bounced back after the injury to Southwick coupled with the slow start.
