So what if we suited up the WNBA allstars to play on a neutral field, who would win? Do you think the Jags would be favored?

Bama just about lost to Texas A&M a couple of weeks ago so the fact that they are a college team that looks beatable I would say the Jags would have their way with them. Yes the Jags suck but they still have a whole roster full of actual NFL Talent where Bama has a few players obviously that will play in the NFL someday but not the whole roster.

College BBall vs pro is a closer debate because all it takes is 1 guy to get the hot hand and take over a game. Football it doesn't work. The worst player on an NFL team was an all american in college.

Jags would destroy Bama. Bama probably wouldn't cross mid-field, lets be honest.

The Jags are really bad but Bama is starting guys who won't get a sniff at the next level. Jags by 4 TDs.

Not even semi close to true, every NFL is full of players that weren't even close to sniffing all american status. There are probably 100's of players in the NFL that weren't even good enough for Alabama to take a second look at offering a scholarship to.

But the Jags would still toy with Alabama then just finish them off something like 56-to maybe 10.

Yes, I was being 100% literal. Thank you for correcting me.

Tony Dungy was on the Dan Patrick show today and stated Alabama would give the Jags a good game, and Manziel could probably put up enough points to win.

Sorry, I don't buy it. Jags win easy.

I remember these kinds of topics on the ESPN boards back when USC was good. I think its a complete joke to think any college team could beat any NFL team. The Jags would crush any college team. The game speed alone would overwhelm a college team.

The Jags obviously have more talent, but in a single contest, Alabama could win. For one thing, the Bama players would be highly motivated while the Jags players would be highly annoyed. The Jags players might let Bama win just to put a stop to the nonsense.

However, if the Jags players were motivated (say they each receive a million dollar bonus if they win), they would probably win something like 84-0.

I think the Jags would be motivated to get the chance to kill a college team.

Wouldn't the ridicule of losing to a college team be all the motivation they would need? Game wouldn't be close

That's what I was thinking. Their motivation would be we can't lose to a bunch of kids, let's clownstomp them.

You are also forgetting that it would be a bunch of kids playing against mainly grown men who would know all kinds of tricks to beat & scare the piss out of most of them.

Not to mention, the main thing Pros compared to college is speed. Teams like Bama, Oregon etc. thrive in college because they are the fastest teams. In the pros, there is no fastest team. Just look at a guy like Reggie Bush. Amazing, all time college player. Simply, a good player in the pros. Linebackers and DEs can actually catch running backs in the pros. Corners in the pros won't neccessarily bite on the first fake. Wouldn't be close.

This, Plus they play teams that 90% of the players will not make the NFL. Every time a college team starts out good this argument comes up and it's crazy. The great USC 2005 team had a 2004 Heisman Trophy winning QB Matt Leinart that I don't even think is on an NFL roster and if he is he's holding a clipboard. It wouldn't happen. The Jags may suck but all of their players made it to the NFL.

We all know a college team could never keep up with an NFL team.

Here is the real idea:

What if you took the WNBA champion, and had them play the boys state high school champs from NY or Illinois? Throw that game on PPV, and I'm sure I would pony up the $30 or so to watch it.
