Interesting article...Lists the player they think is overrated and underrated on every team.

If you don't want to read the article for the Broncos they have

Underrated
Paxton Lynch

Overrated
Russell Okung

Okung doesn't surprise me as he has been pretty inconsistent as he has fought through so many injuries since he came into the NFL.

Lynch though shocked me. I mean here we have a rookie that has yet to take a snap. I keep hearing experts though talk about how they are impressed with his growth and think he is further along than they ever thought he would be at this point. In the article they think he is starting in the first 5 weeks of the season and becomes a special player very quickly.

Anyway who do you think is maybe overrated and underrated on our team from a national perspective?

Sanders might be a bit underrated from a national perspective.

As for overrated.... How can a Denver Bronco ever be overrated from a national perspective? I guess Okung is a good pick, since he hasn't been a Bronco long enough to really represent Denver when you hear his name.

Overrated - Talib - brilliant playmaker - can't fully control himself on the field or off.

Underrated - Okung - the guy signed for $5 Million - he played lights out in the preseason. He has a high possibility of being the best contract value on the team (next to Siemian).

Underrated

Chris Harris still. He is less underrated then he was 2 years ago, but to me this guy continues to be one of the most underrated players in the game of football. A an elite CB. Nobody has better footwork at CB then Chris Harris. One of the most reliable, dependable CB's in the league in all phases of the CB position outside when he covers Antonio Brown.

Darian Stewart to me the real X factor of the Broncos defense last year.

Overrated.

Nothing to see here. ;)

I think with Okung it comes down to the guy when healthy is one of the top-7 LT's in the game. Can you expect him to stay healthy though and when that first injury comes up and he does still try to play how functional is he? I watched a ton of his games at Seattle since we got him and what I see in him is a guy that looks very special at times and then you watch a couple of games that just leave you cringing at his play. Hopefully he can stay healthy this year and we get to see the elite version of Okung.

I just realized I forgot to post the article that went with this.

Unfiltered scouting reports for every AFC team

If I was actually coming up with a list I guess for me underrated would be Derek Wolfe. I honestly think that 2nd half of last season he was maybe one of the top-3 most dominant DE's in all of football. Then in the preseason this year watched him quite a few times just take OL players and throw them like a sack of potatoes. I think he is set up to have a huge year and really get some recognition as one of the elite DE's in the game.

Overrated just because I have made this mistake so many times in the past for fantasy football is that of Virgil Green's ability as a pass catcher. Every year we hear about how he just looks so good and will be more involved in the passing game and then every year they keep him back to block. I think he will have his best year as a receiving TE but I don't think it will be worthy of what some have in their heads.

and i guess the overrated to me comes more from a national media perspective. ward is great, but the national media knows him. stewart is just as valuable imo if not maybe a tad MORE because he is better in coverage. Paradis is solid but because he has been our only reliable guy he gets a boost for being adequate lol

Good list. Darian Stewart is a really good name. He made some plays at the end of games that really sealed the deal on the victory. He was the one guy that could go one-on-one against Gronk and not lose every single time in that match up. I really do think we missed him more than Ward when both of them were out for a couple of games.

And Talib I agree with in the sense that so many seem to rate him or talk about him as our top Corner on the team when honestly right now I would say there is a good chance he is our 3rd best Corner. He is a good Corner but I have much more trust in Harris and Roby now to play consistent week in and week out. I'm glad we still have Talib as having 3 top maybe 20 Corners in the game right now is pretty incredible. Can definitely help us to counter maybe losing Malik in sending extra guys to help with the run game and get after the QB.

That was Paradis first NFL snaps . You do get he was a very low rated prospect ? just saying he never missed a snap .. got better each game . that's all you can ask .

Well if you listen to some of the national media people they do hype him up a bit. What I saw last year was a guy who was very smart and would be where he was supposed to be but just lacked the functional strength to always hold up at the point of contact. This showed up especially in pass protection where he could get pushed back into the QB. Needs to work either on leverage or build up a better core to handle the strong guys up the middle. Still for 1st time playing you are right he did pretty well. I would also add with him that the guys around him are were changing all the time so that leads to miscommunications and also just not having that chemistry with the guy next to you. This year hopefully our guys stay healthy and we can see that type of OL build together.

He is a rare C that gets to multiple targets and makes blocks . Yes his strength needs to get better some was bad foot work and his pouch is okay .....He is what he is a pit bull that gives his worth on every play . His first year showed promise . He got better .He was a low round guy that is smart .

How did our OL grade ? it had to rather bad ? This staff knew what they had and they replaced the bad IMO..

Oh I don't disagree with that. I just think last year Paradis was closer to being an average to below average Center than that of a good one. He had good moments and maybe his struggles were more those around him and the fact that we were trying to run Kubiak's system but at the same time not. I expect better results from the OL partly because of the added talent but a big part because we are actually running the scheme that they have worked on from day 1 that actually plays to Kubiak's strength as a coach. What we did in the Super Bowl will not be close to what we try to do this 1st week against the Panthers. Honestly they would do better watching film from Kubiak's days with the Texans or Ravens than with what we did last year.
