I didn't see this coming. Sorry Devil fans, I really feel for you. Between Parise, Clarkson, & Kovalchuk, that's a lot of talent to lose in 2 seasons. Still tho, if anyone could overcome the loss of star power it's the Devils, they always seem to be competitive no matter who they lose, as long as #30 is in net.

i want to know is when this was decided and if lou knew about this before hand. like i said this just doesnt happen in 10 days time he had to have given them some notice.


and no i dont think we will get the pick back. why would we? if he retired after next season does that mean we would've gotten 2 first rounders to make up for the 1 that we forfeited?


the devils also have to pay a penalty of $250,000 or something like that til 2023 because he didnt play out his contract
