I've always said the SEC was overrated. Not the teams at the top. LSU, Georgia, Auburn, Alabama, etc (you know the teams that actually win) but the middle teams. The two teams in particular I'm talking about are South Carolina and Arkansas. Decent teams, but not even close to the top 15 or higher rankings they get year after year. And they're proving it again this year. SC barely beats Vanderbilt and then Arkansas coughs up a 21 point second half lead to UL-Monroe. Sorry guys, but you do not deserve those top rankings and to be honest it is kind of an insult to schools like Alabama and LSU to have you guys mentioned in the same sentence.

The fucked up thing is that if that were an unranked SEC team that beat Arkansas today the same exact way Louisiana Monroe did....they would be ranked come tomorrow.

The fact is the #7 teams is no where near as good as the #3 team this year. There are 4 teams and everyone else. As bad as USC looked, they are still better then most the top 25 which is sad.

The fact is the #7 teams is no where near as good as the #3 team this year. There are 4 teams and everyone else. As bad as USC looked, they are still better then most the top 25 which is sad.

The thing is though, the other conferences aren't being pumped 24-7 as being as good as the NFC-East. The SEC is the best conference more often then not now-a-days, but even at it's best it is not some huge difference like it is made out to be. ESPN is the single best thing that has ever happened to the SEC.
