Even without the fruity penguin, it looks like a Florida Panther alternate rip-off.

I dunno, IMO that panther alternate was inspired by the previous pens WC jersey.

Aside from trading the dark blue for light blue, not much of a difference.

I think if they were going to do the whole stripe thing at the bottom. It probably would have looked better with the letters diagonal like the 67-68 sweaters:
