NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports the Panthers, Broncos and Redskins "loom" for Stanford RB Christian McCaffrey.

McCaffrey to the Panthers at No. 8 has been the rumor du jour the past few days, while he was previously linked to the Broncos at No. 20. The Redskins at No. 17 are new. There have been multiple recent reports that McCaffrey could go in the top 10, but it still seems a little far-fetched. There's no question all three teams badly need running back help.

I do not care for him he is not the type of running back we need and I think he has bust written all over him if he is not used right

that is the point if he is used right. He will give defenses nightmares in matchups. Best route runner and hands out of any RB. Cant take on a full load but doesnt have to.

we don't have a running back that scares anyone on the team Kelley he is a backup period
if we draft one it has to be Cook,Mixon or Foreman

true but he can take half the workload. Gruden values Rb's like MCaffery. He likes Gio Beranrd type of Rb's.

I have to pass we need a guy in the backfield where teams can't just defend the pass without being scared of having to load the box

McCaffrey is the most exciting offensive player in the draft.

then you don't know what Gruden really wants to do on offense. He doesn't value the power back at all. Which make the Matt Jones pick even more stupid.

just no he is not the type of back we need would be a wasted pick

in this pass happy league now is the RB really that vital? He certainly can catch and (at least at the college level) read the D and make them look bad

Blount = Kelly
Lewis = McCaffery
White = Thompson

This is what Gruden wants. Or just take Cook or Mixon. We win anyway you look at it.

I want mixon in a bad way, I just have that feeling he's going to be special in a zeke or bell type of way. If that is true then our offense will be a huge problem! But after I would like mccaffrey

I agree I want Mixon to but I like all off the three. I just don't think Mixon will be there in the 2nd round.

I don't think he will either. Also I think the redskins need to take some gambles and not play it to safe. They are not the patriots in terms of being a championship contender

Teams like the Raiders and Packers should draft Mixon late first. So why not us. He can be a game changer.

Hush your Mouth Guns. I agree this kid is probably going to be good, and might be electrifying. But I like my RBs like my trucks... Im not planning to run you over, but if you get in my way this is going to hurt. McCafferry reminds me of a McCoy type back, and there is nothing wrong with that, but we are entirely too predictable in our passing agenda as it is. I want a RB that teams actually look back there and say... well fuck they might actually try to run the ball.

I dont think Dalvin Cook is gonna make to many people hurt either. Hes more Jamaal Charles than AP.
