Scheduled for 2022 and 2023. Looks like it has potential. But you never know.

There's already enough of those, we need more quality Pac 12 and Big 10 vs SEC and Big 12 matchups.

But I'm not a huge fan of scheduling them 10 years out...too much can happen to one or both teams.

There's Chicken Sandwich Money and Jerry money and used to be Trump money for these one-offs on the East Coast and in the South, where is the Phil Money for a Big Game in the PNW or down in LA LA Land.

Make it so, Mr. Sulu...

I doubt either coach is still with their program when the first game of this series is played. Hopefully both are good programs at that time.

Flash forward to 2022:

"Michigan's schedule sucks. Their best OOC game was a bottom half Pac-16 team at home."

This is how it starts...

You can give credit to the teams making an agreement, but if Michigan turns into IU by that time, it will hurt UCLA's SOS. And vice versa. If UCLA turns into a cellar dweller by that point won't that still mean Michigan's SOS will suck?

All the more reason not to schedule them that far out. Wisky vs Alabama in a couple of years is abt as far out as I want to go.

Ideally that would be nice if the SEC would do it. And if they did do it not cancel the games like they have done and will continue doing.

And LALA land, aTm cancelled. Gerogia cancelled a home and home with Oregon.

We are trying out West.

Again, not the same thing.

Everybody cancels games...including Oregon, but a home and home 10 years from now has a lot more likelihood of being canceled than a kickoff classic type of game scheduled one or two years in advance with third party money. They are arranged and scheduled like early season bowl games...nobody cancels out of bowl games.

Rather than playing an LSU in Texas, you could have played them in say Seattle.

I'm not saying Oregon or any Pac-12 team needs to do this, it needs to be an interested third party.

I agree with you. Mora will have moved on to the NFL and Hoke will have been fired.

The Les Miles led Michigan will stomp the Chip Kelly led UCLA.

i love CBB because they make these kinda marquee ooc matchups 3 months before the season starts. with cfb you would be lucky to get one scheduled just 3 years from now

Could be worse. Michigan could follow ND's footsteps into obscurity in everyone's mind but their own. Any idea what conference(s) your institution will be affiliated with in 9 years?

UGA has been pretty good about traveling for OOC, with the Dawgs going to Tempe and Stillwater lately. Not to mention going to Clemson this year. Tennessee and LSU have been really good about that, too.

they are contractually obligated to stay independent in football or join the acc in football for somewhere between 15-25 years

Yeah. ND should be in awe of those B-one-G Legends Division titles Michigan has.

Michigan adds UCLA 2x, to a decent list of OOC opponents over the next 10 years which includes Utah 2x, Arkansas 2x, VTech 2x, ND, Oregon State, BYU, Cincinnati, UCF and Florida (tentative). Not too shabby.

Michigan has a home and home scheduled with Arky and a tentative Jerry Bowl game scheduled with Florida....

I believe either Wisky or MSU (or both) tried to schedule a home and home with Bama but someone backed out...

I'm not saying ND is great, but at least ND was able to play for a title during the BCS era. Also not sure why you think I was taking a shot at Michigan because I wasn't.

I hope were still independent in 9 years.
