which teams get the last 8 spots?
In the past 20 years, I've wanted them to be brought in, but through the years and their overall attitude,Idk, it's a stubbornness thing and an unwillingness to share. Again, ND is never joining a conference unless their survival as a football program is threatened. That's gonna take more expansion from the BIG/SEC to happen. NCAA itself would need to be directly threatened. Not there... YET.
not sure it's 20. might be 22 or 24 each......which teams get the last 8 spots?
plus, do the bottom feeders in the sec and big 10 in trouble of losing their membership for a program with more prestige? as seats are very limited.which teams get the last 8 spots?
TCU? eh.There is this guy, fwiw.
Might be more of a pod system if they're going for 20-22-24 teams. So what then Illinois and Northwestern to the East? Or Purduev and someone else?
If this is true, PAC12 instantly becomes a midmajor. There is this guy, fwiw.
I have never been able to understand why more B1G schools don't have hockey. Northwestern and Rutgers would be slam dunk successful. Nebraska-Omaha has a team. The USHL, which is a prime development league for collage hockey, has 8 teams over Iowa and Nebraska.I suppose Hockey could be described as 'Ice polo'.
Just from this list, i say the two 12s merge and give the ACC their north eastern teams and boom, 4 mega leagueswhich teams get the last 8 spots?
I can see West Virginia going to the ACC now that they’re ditching the division format. It’d be a hell of a lot easier travel schedule for them. Just do a 4-5-5 schedule instead of the 3-5-5 schedule. I don’t see VT going anywhere any time soon since the GoR lasts until 2035.TCU? eh.
what about Washington, Cincy, VT, or WV
Oregon is going to jump.
I can see Stanford, Oregon and Washington bailing, maybe causing the PAC and Big XII to merge. I can see ND and West Virginia joining the ACC getting them to 16 as well since their biggest football competition right now would probably be Clemson. My uneducated guess is ND, UW, Oregon and Stanford jump to the Big Ten within the next 6 months
