They have a few tough ones coming up.

Yep.

Navy (5-1), SMU (4-2), and USF (6-0)

UCF and USF are in the same division.

UCF may not play in the CCG. Even if they did they would have to likely play Navy (5-1) or Memphis (5-1) again, or even Houston (4-2).

Memphis holds head-to-head over Navy.
Houston has yet to play Memphis or Navy.

TF are you guys talking about?

They're going undefeated.

They do get USF at home. If they win that, then beating Memphis twice could be tough.
If they get by Navy's triple option, I think they can do it twice.

Houston is a WTF? They won @ Arizona (19-16). Lost to Texas Tech (24-27). Then lost to Tulsa (17-45).

I will bet you anything though that we don't end up with a hire we don't like.

Moos's contract is designed around the success of the football program. They practically are telling him, "here's endless amounts of money, find a FOOTBALL coach and make sure we win games, and then we'll give you massive amounts of more money."

UCF fires preemptive financial strike at Nebraska to keep Scott Frost in Orlando

Well shit, now it’s going to cost a few million more.
Scott’s donating some of his own salary to keep his assistants. Sound familiar?
I haven’t heard of anyone doing that since TO sharing his bowl game bonuses.
Scott will be successful wherever he stays or lands.

Sounds like diplomatic chat from Frost. I'm sure they're happy there and all, but no way they can compete with some of the P5 money that will be flying his way.
As a G5 school they have a built in ceiling. Mid-major conference championships and occasionally the G5 selection for New Years 6 bowls.
Their stadium is only 10 years old and holds just 45,000. I don't see them expanding seating anytime soon.
UCF would have to make the jump to a P5 conference for Frost to achieve his dreams of CFP's and Nattys. That would be limited to the Big 12 expanding.

“I’m very excited about the success we've had in our time here and I’m committed to helping this program continue growing,” Frost said in a statement as his team prepared to take on Navy Saturday. “I’m happy to be part of the UCF Football Excellence Fund. We need more resources to keep taking this program where we want it to go. I’m hopeful my support will be a catalyst for others to jump on board and take part.” - Frost

The writer then goes on to say "Does this sound like a coach who plans to leave UCF after the season."

Ummm. Yes it does actually. It sounds like a guy who's grateful for the opportunity he was provided, doesn't want to hurt anyone's feelings, and doesn't want to shake anything up mid-season. Of course he'd like to help in fundraising (this season).
I'd bet if he were asked anything directly about other jobs, he'd say something like "No comment", "I'm not going to entertain anything like that." "I'm focused on this team" etc.

I’m paraphrasing a bit here but basically “even though they haven’t fired Riley officially yet I hope the guy they bring in after me will like further our efforts whatnot”
