I'm not convinced. If the ball comes down around the 10 yard line the defense maybe has 2 defenders looking to knock the ball down and everyone else defends the goal-line. When the ball is out of Hail Mary range teams normally try hook-and-ladder tactics with endless laterals.I understand what you're saying, but if the Bears play it that way and it's 10 yards further in Washington territory it's still a TD because nobody was behind the play and the dumbass knocked the ball up in the air and backwards. It was a shit play all around by the Bears D.
