Sad to hear of Goose's death. He was a real one. Pretty good NT in his prime and a real character. Definitely a key part of that legendary 2000 Ravens D.

I got a text earlier today from a friend about it before it hit the news, he lived local and was a generous and real nice guy…..awful news, I believe his son found him…..

I always enjoyed Goose on games I saw him as a sideline reporter. Thought he had good chemistry with Moose and Kenny Albert and always came across as likable. RIP

Well I guess from this thread that Siragusa was an ok guy but all I can ever remember of him was the play he hurt Gannon on and it pisses me off

Yeah, he famously dropped 340 pounds on Gannon and knocked him out in the AFC title game, which was like game over for Oakland.

The play was probably illegal then and would totally be illegal today, but hey, defensive linemen all would do that.

I met Goose once at a bar that a friend of mine owns after a Vikings game that he was covering. Fantastic guy. Taking pictures with fans, treated the staff great, just a genuine dude.

RIP Goose.
