I'd probably rather keep Paxton up over either once everyone else is healthy. Felix, Kuma, Miley, Walker, and Paxton would be good to toy with until the next injury. Will we start a pool on how long until Paxton goes on his extended injury leave this year?

But if they lose tonight it will still be okay because 3 out of 5 is still good. 60% is a 96 win season so all is good. And if they lose the next night it will be 3 of 6 and that is cool too because 50% is a 81 win season and 81 wins for a Mariners team is more than acceptable.

There's a difference between expectations and what you are willing to accept outside of that. However it's still not realistic to expect 162 wins. Doesn't the saying go that everyone wins 40 and loses 40 and it's what you do with the other 82 that tells the story of your season?

I will accept 3 out of 4 right now against even poor talent just because of the circumstances the team is in with injuries. I would not normally accept 3 out of 4 against cellar dwellers or losses given up by the pen in games you had a lead late. Can't ever be O.K. to have a blown save.

But I say again, 3 out of 4 ain't bad compared to a full month of just horrid baseball. It's not enough, but it's a start anyway. That's the most I'll give them.

Winning 75% of your games would net you a 121.5 and 40.5 record in a 162 games... That's damn good... I'd take 3 out of 4 all day long, regardless of the sport...

Ya and if you go 2-0 that is 100% winning percentage which would be 162 win season. I would take that anytime. Using a winning percentage over a 4 game stretch in a 78 game period is some bloated math. But all good. Since now we have won 3 out of last 5 that is still good. That is a 96 win season so we are on our way.

What's funny is everyone pretty mentioned that they were excited for pitchers to return and none of them were name, Miley... For good reason... Tonights another example of just how bad he is... If we need a LH, i'd rather roll out Paxton as well... Leblanc over Miley too... Never been sold on Miley, ever since the trade...

Guess they should have reconsidered. Just because you've made it from the DL doesn't necessarily mean you're 100% ready to come back.

Glad he is healthy again we could really use more short outings with 5+ earned. The Miley meatball was in full effect again. Roach is garbage so that didn't help either.

Gotta say though Karns and Rollins locked it down for the final 4 innings.. Silver linings much?

As brutal as Karns has been lately, I'd much rather have him in the rotation than Miley. That said neither are starter material right now. Where's Chris Young when you need him?
