the interesting thing is amerson is pushing for a starters role. 1st time i heard that . to me the only real negatives are the injuries/suspensions

I dont think it would be a surprise though. All three have the Skills.

Minnifields only real question in the knee

Amerson.. can he learn to play more consistent and not give up big plays

Rambo... can he stay out of off field trouble with the halflings leaf??

From an ablity stand point, all three graded out pretty highly in their respective draft class at their positions.

read up on amerson chase and thomas . all did well especially thomas in the box

There's a lot of talent there and potential. If all emerge then it's definitely a game changer for the defense. Especially with a return of the pass rush. Love the potential there too. Not just from Rak coming back but the depth they've added with Jenkins and Tapp. The defense could be a surprise league wide as a unit.

Thomas to me was a bonus, didnt expect him to be there after we took reed in the 3rd. But it would be beyond hope to expect all four to develop into starters together.

I can't wait, especially to see Rambo. Since Sean Taylor, we've been waiting to get a FS to replace him. Not to say he will, but good grief! I saw Rambo play quite a bit, when he was at UGA. In my opinion, he is the best FS in this draft. Period. He just has to stay out of trouble and wrap up on his tackling. I believe Amerson has a lot to prove. Going into 2012, he was the best CB in the nation, but fell off. Was it because he was greedy or he just lost his way? We'll see! Chase Minnifield always intrigued me. I believe he has good bloodlines, and could be a good CB for us. Can't wait!

I'm pretty happy with the way things have gone so far. However, I'm concerned about merriweather. His injury may be lingering. If so, we may be starting the year off with doughty as a stater opposite Rambo. I just don't see us starting week 1 with 2 rookies.

Agreed we wont start off with two rookies. But for as much shit as people give Reed, we could do alot worse. the only problem is if they ask him to play outside his ability. He isnt very good on coverage. But he is more than solid in the box.

Very excited to hear about Amerson and Rambo. I think Rambo will have an immediate impact. Having Amerson taking a lot of reps this early will surely help him get on the field faster and be ahead of the curve when is called on.

I'm disappointed with Thompson's setback and Jordan Reed not recovering as fast as I'd hoped.
