I still think UK has a great chance to run the table. Right now, IMO, Calipari
is still trying to figure out just who are his point guards. Ulis has been a
wonderful surprise. There has to be some effectiveness on both ends of the
court and the deeper this thing goes, the better Kentucky will become.

No doubt they are loaded. And the SEC isn't. If anyone is going to do it, it would be UK. It's just a very difficult thing to do, especially if you go into the tourney undefeated with a young team.

These kids are 18,19,20 years old. To maintain a high level of effort/discipline for 35-40 games is really hard to do.

Nature of the beast, I think...they get board.

Against 'good' teams, for the most part, they've taken care of business rather handily. Louisville might have been the closest of the ranked teams, but even with that being said, I watched that game and never felt like UK was in danger of losing that game.

I think once March hits, they'll find another gear with the games meaning more.

Does it really matter which Ivy league school they lost to? And why does any team lose to an ivy league that's got more talent?

Maybe someone can let me know when West Virginia University became or was considered to be an ivy league school. :L

I realize we all have our opinions but again, if you're going to talk trash, at least know what the hell you're talking about so you don't look too ignorant.

My memory is bad. Lmao I'm at the office.. Job or SportsHoopla, Job or SportsHoopla?

I don't why I keep thinking they lost to cornell. Did they lose before that to someone like Cornell in the tourney?

And I'm not talking trash. Just said it's hard to go undefeated.

Trust me... I realize that the odd's of this team going 40 - 0 are not good. That is why I don't care about all the undefeated talk around this team. However, I don't think they're going to lose because of inexperience due to the things the majority of the team went through last year.

I don't recall a time when UK lost to an ivy league school but regardless, they did lose with a boat load of talent that year.

They played Cornell the game prior to the WVU game. It was supposed to be a bad matchup for UK and the media was portraying it as "The Smart Kids" vs "The Inner City kids" in what I would consider one of the worst examples of thinly veiled racism in the last few years.

That was also the same tournament where all of the "Izzo sure does overachieve in the tournament" talk ramped up again even though he was gifted the easiest possible path and managed to only beat one team with a better seed (4 seeded Maryland) en route to the Final Four.

The best game of the tournament was Bruce Pearl's penultimate UT team upsetting Evan Turner and the OSU Buckeyes.

Also, worst Final Four to date (and 2nd only to the following year)

Well, I was actually defending you. You weren't that far off. UK did play Cornell. They even played them in that tournament. And there was a lot of discussion about Cornell beating UK. It just never came to fruition.

I have the "advantage" of living in that region so I probably hear about that stuff a lot more than you do though.

Today's game at Alabama will be a good test for the Cats. Alabama is a very solid team and at home should make this one interesting.
