Today's announcement that RGIII will start against the Vikings did NOT come from the HC or team sources. Instead it comes from a tweet originated by RGIII himself. That on its' own merit is troubling, as it appears to be an end run against what some assume is the chain of command in this organization. If true (tweet by himself) it undermines the authority of the HC and without repercussions re-establishes #10 as having the backing of higher ups. The remedy is as obvious as could be in this matter. The HC should immediately bench RGIII for this game or begin to look for employment elsewhere.

most people are reacting to the 1st 3 sentences in your post the assumption that it originated from Rg3 himself

so far no proof and only a passing statement about being "if True " and the ramifications of it

i feel gruden WANTS RG3 in at QB i dont see an issue . i also know that last off season almost all of the accusations about Rg3 were debunked

so i took it from the worst case scenario if Rg3 did in fact do it this is what needed to happen

its Rg3 ;s job to push the issue its gruden job to make the call

there is no solid evidence (only speculation ) that allen/ snyder are doing anything (other then letting gruden coach the team his way ) as i have put to shark , if you have any evidence that can be substantiated with facts not speculation i am all ears

All I will say is this. The word on who will start should ONLY come from the head coach, and generally if its even remotely in question it shouldnt come out until Friday at the soonest. For all the CSI talk, it does the coach and the team no good to confirm this 4.5 days before the game is even played. The only benefit to coming out now is to excite the fanboys, and cause issues should Gruden actually decide to hold him out and we lose. So call it CSI all you want, this kind of Info should only come from the man who ultimately will be held responsible.

1. Is he actually healthy since he as been known to rush back.

2. Who is really pushing the charge to have him back on the field.

If he is healthy, capable of running the offense and winning games and it was the coaches call.... great.

If he is healthy, rusty and the coach thinks either of the other QBs is a better option but he QB and Owner/Gm are backing the start him at all costs play... screw that.

I dont, unless we are running an offense designed to take advantage of his particular "skill set". We apparently arent, so I dont think he gives us the best chance to win. But I think every one knows that.

I wrote my post to that effect, then came the CSI BS, because it seems that "they only care about who's playing" It is indeed troubling if the HC is continuing to stick to his position that the week of practice and a clearance by team medical personnel stands in stark contrast to reports coming out that RGIII is playing. Seems that either this decision has been made and the HC was not informed, or had a confidence betrayed.

My comment on the CSI is based on the "reported tweet" aspect. Now was it actual or not? Did RG3 announce his starting or not? I don't tweet and don't follow anyone who does so I haven't a clue if he did or not.

Now I agree that the announcement should have come from the HC, not "multiple team sources". But how the hell is that Griffin's fault???????? Hell even if he did announce it first with aTweet after hearing the news it's not like he made the decision that he would start. Hater talk, again. Sucks.

Did he push to play? Of course. But as others have said, and I posted about the opener last year, if you want a QB who is OK with sitting when he feels good enough to play you would be rooting for the wrong QB.

Some of you deserve 2 full seasons of Colt McCoy at QB. To get all excited over a good 2nd half by a guy who was nearly out of the league 6 months ago for a reason simply shows ignorance. Again Todd Collins Syndrome and it's rampant around here.

That makes to much sense doesn't it?? 4 weeks ago cousins was better than Griffin wasn't he? Now after a game lets hang our hat on McCoy? I don't get it myself. It was a great performance no doubt but IMO if Griffin is ready it isn't even a debate on who plays Sunday. Let's not forget if he hits DJax in stride on a couple long ones instead of under throwing him or the simple throws he made low and behind people causing no YAC could've came back to bite them. This win was a defense win IMO and McCoy did nothing to lose it except the int in the end zone. 4-5 delay of games and a couple busted hand offs doesn't make me feel warm and fuzzy about the offense. Wasn't griffin 31 for 40 before he got hurt in this offense?

Some of you act as if the coach can control all leaks & has 100% control over how announcements can be delivered. Cmon - this might have been possible years ago but not at this pt. This isn't just true for the Skins - it is true for just about any sports team.

The leak could be a coach, player or somebody else. Major areas of the govt can't control leaks - what makes you think that the Redskins have total control in this area? Beyond that - who cares? Just like with some of the stuff from last year most of this is 100% speculation and driven by hate for RG3, Snyder, etc.

Relax & let's watch the next game. You will be able to enjoy it either since the team does well & hopefully wins or because they don't & your hatred for RG3 will let you say "I told you so". It is sad to think that some want this team to fail primarily so that they can say "I told you so".
