he's definitely found a home shooting from the corner here in DC. Nobody want to see him put the ball on the floor, and we all questioned him starting above Webster, who finished last season top 10 in 3point % ...
but, besides the past 3-5 games, Ariza has earned his paycheck and played beyond everyone's expectations.
Alot of folks here are asking whether or not we should trade him while his value is high because he has been playing so good & want to see Otto Porter have more minutes eventually.
I've got a lot of respect for Ariza. He's one of those guys that can give you 30+ on any given night if he gets enough touches. He proved that tonight - shooting 61% off 23 attempts.
If you guys don't re-sign him i'll gladly have him back on the Lakers!
lol.... understandable. Like you said, without the consistent touches, his value just doesn't seem anywhere near as obvious. I don't know if "depth" is what the Wiz were looking for when they acquired him and Nene at practically the same time, but that's about what it's amounting to. Which, to be honest, kinda seems unfair to Trevor. We'll have to wait and see what the next 4 - 6 weeks bring with Nene's absence.... I'm certainly not expecting anywhere near that output every night!
