It does suck big time to be missing out on him but I did like what the Broncos did yesterday in putting Marshall at the MLB position and having Corey Nelson as the WLB. Nelson played very well yesterday for a rookie in both the run and the pass. He only had one reception against him that went for 2 yards. He was in on 26 snaps yesterday where he dropped back into coverage and only allowed the 1 pass so to me that is pretty darn impressive. This rookie class might be the best one we have had since 2011 with Von Miller.
Damn.....poor guy. He was just getting going again. I guess if nothing else, he should be able to play again this season. I also liked what I saw out of Nelson yesterday. He's fast.
Sounds like they are not going to IR him with the designation to return. They actually are thinking he could be back in a month and only miss the next few games. I'm not quite that optimistic. Plus I would rather have him sit double the time to make sure that knee holds up. Need him for the playoffs more than we do some regular season games.
Yeah very impressed with Nelsons play Sun. Tied for team lead with 7 tackles. Not bad at all. As long as Denver stays healthy, this D is going to be the best yet ( Bronco history) IMO. Can`t wait for SF ( to gauge the running game again) with another very good run D on the slate. Still wondering who CJ pissed off BTW
