Terrible 1st pick!!! No other way to say it. There were viable starters on the board we passed on for a future player who will sit for a year or two.

Oh...the talking heads had him as a second rounder...where we got him. Yet you guys would rather a guy that was less productive such as Attoachu.


I would have loved Tuitt or Nix but they are or were still available for a reason too. Moses would have been fine as well but again...teams are taking Botonio over him for a reason.

A bit unexpected... but I like this pick. I think Moses ultimately brings more value to our squad, but Murphy seems like the kind of guy who can only get better with a solid workout regiment.

"We also realize we have nothing in Rob Jackson and Brandon Jenkins" On the flip side, he has been referred to as a joker...so if Haslett can get him on the field at ILB that would be nice. Ultimately he looks like a 2015 ROLB starter.

This doesn't change anything. Orakpo is still paying for a pay day and if he wants to stay he can work to prove we should keep him. As for Jackson abd Jenkins why should we trust them. If rak leaves next year and we start one of them that's a problem.

Best move: Trading out of the 34th pick overall and picking up another third-round choice. The Redskins did not have a first-round pick, so being able to pick up another choice among the top three rounds was a strong move. The Redskins might have stayed at 34 had linebacker Marcus Smith still been available. The Redskins saw a couple other players they liked get picked as well, so trading back was a no-brainer. Plus, they liked a handful of pass-rushers, so they knew someone they liked would still be around at 47

ESPN980 reported that the Redskins were hoping running back Tre Mason would have lasted to the 78th pick, especially after running back Charles Sims went earlier. Those would have been interesting picks because they would have provided the backfield a little more pop, something it could use. While Chris Thompson has speed, he's not durable and the Redskins need more than what Roy helu has provided.
