Dilfer makes me want to vomit.
Who knew? A topic we all agree on!
Easy, both fairly evenly. Any team with a tough front 7 presents problems for Seattle, but who don't they present problems for? Honestly I'd be surprised to see the Saints make it to the SB, but any of the other three are all viable choices, it's just that Seattle and Carolina have a slight advantage in playing at home with Seattle having the best edge based on that. Doesn't mean anything is guaranteed.Harold. Honestly. Which team from the NFC do you fear the most. I have to assume it would be niners or panthers since they both played you tough this year. albeit you blew us out at home, but you lost to us on the road. I admit, the seahawk scare me more than any other team in the division right now, and mostly becuase we have to play in that fucking stadium of yours. but who do you think represents your biggest challenge should they win next week assuming you win your game.... panthers or niners?

There are no surprises playing SF. Both teams know each other well and our defense knows how to limit Kaepernick. Still, one mistake and you can lose. That's what happened in our last meeting. Seattle beat Carolina early in the year on the road, but they were not playing their best football then. Cam can be quite a wild card and we don't know them quite as well.
Since you asked I'll try to answer it honestly. I think the Panthers are the better team and the Seahawks are better yet, but as far as losing, well I much rather lose to the Panthers then the 49ers, that would be my worse nightmare, I'm sure you feel the same way about losing to the Seahawks.
I don't view Seattle losing at SF as being any proof they had our number. There were to defenders who failed on the gore long run that normally don't fail on those assignments that lead directly to that loss. Take that play away and it's a seattle road win. Am I taking away from SF by saying that? Not to me. SF is always dangerous and anyone who says otherwise isn't being honest. They have weapons all over and will exploit the hell out of you if you don't play very disciplined defense. But failing on that play on the road to me is different than doing that with the crowd behind them at home.
When I look at both Carolina and SF I see two teams with ferocious defenses that (along with Seattle) were among the tops in the NFL in most defensive stats. Seattle will have to play mistake free football on offense and try to avoid having Wilson pounded into the ground to survive.
I don't know how anyone looks at any of these three teams and says they would like to face one over the other. I mean of course I like our chances against all 3 remaining NFC teams, but all are capable of beating us and all have their own things to worry about come game day. The Saints have a HOF quality QB and that just can't be ignored. And both of the others have QB's that can kill you through the air and on the ground. Both can run the ball and both can cause your offense fits all day.
What I do know is no matter who wins next week the NFC championship game should be a hell of a match up and whoever makes it from the NFC is going to be battle tested for sure. The AFC isn't going to know what hit them.
Well I disagree only in that you have lost five straight to SF in SF.... but can't admit we have your number at home while most of the hawk fans act like two home wins over us is gospel.
Other than that, fair assessment.
And as for Kaepernick growing up? I think he is who we think he is. A very athletic and dangerous QB that you can force into making bad plays if you can contain him, confuse him with different looks, and get to him before he can look off his first read. The problem is not very many teams have the weapons to do that consistently. Seattle has in the past, but could the make adjustments? Sure, we will see.
What Kaepernick has different now than the last Seattle trip is Crabtree. Boldin was totally shut down because we just put sherman on him and he was totally pwned the entire game. With Crabtree back the LOB has two real threats to deal with while also not overlooking Davis. Still, that offense didn't shread through the air in the game at the stick so I'm not sure I saw any real growth from him against what we bring.
Do you recall what happened to sherman in his second matchup with boldin in SF? He scored the lowest rating of his career. Now who are you going to put sherman on..... crabs or boldin? Boldin I hope.
Lol, as if Kap has enough confidence playing in Seattle to get those guys the ball. Coverage+pass rush+noise = Kap pissing his pants.
