I own Nick Roach in my IDP league. The Raiders just placed him on season ending IR. The back up was Maiava but he too has gone down. Whom do you see being the NEW MLB going forward?

lol..I honestly have no earthly idea. Don't get a lot of inside Raiders info living here in Broncos country.

My guess is they sign a couple dudes off the street, and mix and match those guys along with possibly shifting around an outside baker or two, depending on game situations.

Sorry man, I don't have much for ya there. Hopefully there's someone in the bay area that might have a little more info

probably could..although since the Raiders D sucks so bad..their LB's are usually pretty steady point producers, even if they aren't that great, they rack up the tackles

is that true?? I can see the logic, but doesnt oakland let up too many BIG plays??

but its IDP, big plays or not, need them tackles

yes but the more big plays and more TDs, the less opportunities for tackles... i would assume the team with most tackles would be the team with the best ballance of Time of posssession and points scored...

And i would assume time of possesion is the more important statistic... But as someone who never played IDP, i really am just making a guess...

really any team with a poor offense and mediocre to bad D, is gonna rack up points due to being on the field on the time, LB wise anyways

Preston brown

Josh Mauga

Jameel Mcclain

just some less known ILB producing.....probably picked up but throwing em out there

Other surprise is that oakland has the 2nd least amount of tackles... Yes they had their bye already but still...

yea, as SP mentioned, since the defense can't get off the field on third downs, and the offense can't sustain drives and likes to turn the ball over, it leads to a lot of tackles.

In IDP, if you can't get the elite guys at any one position, find the best options on crap teams, you may not get sacks and turnovers very often, but you get more than a fair share of tackles

but again, if a team lets up too many points then chances are they missed too many opportunities... What you are really looking for are teams that lose the time possession game and dont let up too many points... In fact, i would assume that offense is a better predictor to this than defense is...

Actually the line backers in our league are so thin that all those guys mentioned on here are gone. You wouldn't believe how thin they are. But thanks anyway guys.

SP, IDP can be just as tricky as the offensive side of fantasy.

I'm guessing that the game plan for most offenses is to call plays AWAY from the elite defensive player. Plus some leagues only score a half point for a tackle.... what Treff said.

Foot, there has to be better options that the backup to a backup to ex-Bear Nick Roach. Has to be.

entirely possible..I mean yeah, you want the defense to be able to stop people..can't accumulate tackles if they score every play, but you don't want the Dline to be eating up the tackles either. I'ts a little hit or miss. If there is one above average LB or safety on a bad defense, he will generally be a very good IDP player..but just the average Joe blow on that crap defense? no not really, and it never applies to Dlineman..a crap defense never has a dlineman have a lot of tackles, or any other plays. Part of the reason why Tavon Branch is generally considered a fairly elite DB option in IDP. Example..Paul Puzlusny in Jax is on a crap D with a bad offense, yet is only 1 tackle behind L. David, and is usually at or near the top in that category league wide, regardless of position.

It's' not an exact science by any means, and ideally, you want a great player, on a great defense, but when your desperate it's a decent measure to go by when grabbing someone off the scrap heap

I'm guessing that this is the league where you draft 11 IDP. We can still try to help you buddy. Can you list the LB that are available? Or take a screen shot and paste it?

Yep.. We can spew 50 names, all of which have scored within 10 points of each other, but no idea just how thin your pool is.
