Rangers off day coming a day early

Alberto's time may come, but perhaps not in a Rangers uniform.

Alberto is a SS first. He plays 2b like a SS playing 2b. Profar was the same. You could tell it was not his natural position. Odor is a 2b man. Not sure the last time that TEX had a natural 2bman playing 2b. Young, Soriano and Kinsler were all transplanted SS.

I'd like seeing Alberto at SS one game a week with Rosales starting at 2b. Gives Elvis an off night ... and reminds him that he can be replaced.

With Andrus, Odor, Alberto and Profar projected for 2016. At least one is gone.

That this idea of could fall in love with.

Best reason why either Elvis or Gallo ... and perhaps Choo should have had the day off today. Using Rosales and Smolinski sitting today would be a better set up for the OAK series where days off aren't as likely.

Our starting pitching is really giving the BP a chance to rest, regroup over the past 3 games.

That was a play where Martin should have come in there strong, called off Choo, and made the throw to 2nd.

Not saying he would have nailed him. But with Choo throwing it in, there's no chance whatsoever.
