FTR, I didn't report it or anything. With all of the nice stuff Clarky used to send me in PMs I was a it taken aback but not bothered. Sounds like a temper tantrum. Anyway, I think he actually asked to be banned or something.

I fyou get worked up over a A) Stranger B) calling you names over the C) internet that you'll D) never meet in real life, then you really are taking SportsHoopla too seriously, and need to tuck away your e-peen.

I'm glad this shit this stuff does not happen here on the hockey board, and it is a damn shame we lost three good guys because of it.

Eh, those aren't exactly the kind of high-quality, incisive insults that would cause me to do a lot of soul-searching. I know Clarkson has a lot of friends here - if he calms down, assesses the situation with a reason-over-emotion approach, and wants to return, I would definitely support his reinstatement.

The problem is HD tried not to go public with this but you can get backed into a corner. If you delete the post posters say you are censoring them if you respond YOU get accused of going public (that's what happened to HD) it's a damned if you do and damned if you don't.

I try not to take things public but if someone is going to tee off on me and will not stop and others pile on it doesn't leave you much choice. That's why it pissed me off to read some comments from people that obviously didn't know all of the story. Ironically some people that defended others have been thrown under the bus by them. Oh well, if they only knew.

I thought this had settled down and can't wait until it does. Jesus lets get back to talking hockey. Shit happens and life goes on.

Bossman essentially covered every one of my feelings on this. I know that HD took a ton of unwarranted abuse and responded responsibly, IMO. As far as going public or not, it's dammed if you do and dammed if you don't. Tox wasn't even initially banned. He has his mod status removed. Then he went off and sent some nasty PMs to people who were not even involved in anyway, and shit. That is when the ban went into effect, i think.

Very unfortunate situation.

Sly was probably my favorite poster here; hell, I even sent him some software through the mail. He's a big guitar and jazz-fusion fan so we always had that to yak about.

I've always thought of Tox and Clarkson as quality posters so they too will be missed.
