Probably not something I should not post but I like watching the Flyers play when they arent playing the Pens. Does this make me less of a Pens fan? I cheered for them until the finals then reality set in that the Flyers might win a cup and I puked a little bit.

I actually had this discussion with a friend tonight. I can't cheer for the Flyers (unless they were playing against the Nazis or something), but I can certainly enjoy a good hockey game that the Flyers win, just on the premise that it was a good hockey game. I also have no problem with fans of any team. Individuals, perhaps, but not entire fan bases. I think that kind of generalization is asinine. I mean I have "friends" on this board who are Flyers fans. They're cool guys, that's all that matters.

But, yeah, ELYEAH, it's odd that you cheered for the Flyers. But it's not odd that you would have appreciated their comeback, because that's just good hockey.

I will only root for the Pens if it is an advantage for the Flyers if they win. If the Pens winning puts the Flyers in the playoffs, go Black and White.

I think that I would cheer for a great hockey story like the Pens coming back from three down, but I can't be sure. Plus, if the Pens were that behind, I think Crosby's natural instinct to go down and play dead might hurt them *ducks the incoming retaliation*

I live in the Pittsburgh media market during the season, so I can watch Penguin games, and I do try, but I just can't listen to those 2. Most of the time I'm doing something and have the game on in the background so I can't just mute it. It's just too torturous.
