I was gonna go with Lynch, but if he isnt top priority for the 49ers defense Id be floored. They should be zeroing in on him all game and vice versa with Gore. From that list I think it is either Blount or Moreno who has a bigger game with the sleepers being Ball or Ridley.

Either way, expect a lot of annoying screen passes this weekend.

and Denver is ranked 7th with new england rated 26th.....but that didnt stop you from picking against Denver to contain...pretend that makes sense
I picked Gore but I think that NE needs Blount to have a good game for the game to be close.

Blount has been on a tear the past three games, rushing for more than 400 yards and 8 TDs. I agree that slowing him down is a key for Denver on Sunday.

Denver is the worst defense of the 4... I went blount, but i really think it will be vereen...

? They are pretty good against the run giving up over 100 yards only once. Pats have the worst run defense

Yes, but there is more to it than just rankings... Teams throw a lot on denver due to them playing from behind a lot... They did have a great game stopping the run last week vs SD... But i dont see BB and the patriots coming out so one dimensional like the Chargers did...

I am not convinced that Denvers defense is that good...

I don't see how anyone could be convinced that Denver's defense is more than mediocre at best, particularly without Miller and Harris now. That's not to say that Denver's defense isn't capable of playing well, but the Denver offense probably has to score quite a few points (in the 30s, I'm thinking) in order to win on Sunday. Even scoring 30+, of course, does not guarantee a win, but I would like our chances.

Maybe Moreno can drown his defender in tears.

Marshawn is SF's #1 priority and has been for the last 2 years. He continues to be productive against them and is the monster thorn in their side.

Denver's rush D is decent/solid. Their pass D is out Von Miller and their top CB out so their secondary and is going to get destoyed, though.

They got torched by San Diego in the 4th quarter when Harris went out with a torn ACL and Rivers targeted Jammer.

Del Rio did not have enough time to make last minute adjustments, IMO.

Champ Bailey is back. Tony Carter was not active last week, and he is solid in pass defense.

Move Champ from Nickel/slot coverage to LCB and Rogers-Cromartie to RCB and Tony Carter in the slot possibly. Webster and Jammer will be ok as NE does not have the deep threat on the outside.

Adams and Ihenacho are good run stoppers at Safety and can also cover well.

With a whole week to prepare with the personell they have I don't see them getting torched.

They don't have to be good. They just have to do what every team that has a prolific record setting offense does.

Bend but don't break. Get a stop now and then, just don't give up the big play.

As long as the offense finishes drives with TD's (Broncos are the best in the league in redzone efficiency and 2nd in 3rd down efficiency) and does not turn the ball over and put the defenses back up against the wall, all the defense has to do is show up and play a good but not great game to give them a chance to win.

Lynch can put up the highlight plays, but most rushing yds will be either Pats or Broncos because they're meh defenses.

Meh...he averaged just north of 3.5 ypc in our first two games...not exactly dominant. Your offense is as inept vs our defense as is ours is vs yours. The only difference is you guys owned the turnover battle in week 2. If we can't flip that on Sunday, I don't like our chances.

That might be, but Marshawn has been your biggest concern. No doubt about that.

Scoreboard says otherwise. Every time you come to Seattle, we score at will against your D.

2012:

@ SF: Hawks 6 - 49ers 13
@ Seattle: Hawks 42 - 49ers 13

2013:

@ Seattle: Hawks 29 - 49ers 3
@ SF: Hawks 10 - 49ers 17

Well, yeah, he's your biggest offensive playmaker. Our defense under Fangio has been predicated on stopping the run and we've been excellent at it over the last three years. Nobody is going to beat Seattle if Marshawn Lynch is running wild.
