Both guys have career 119 OPS+. I think the big comparison is Bando's post-season experience vs Evan's' power.

Career WAR is what was used to rank them. Bando had a 61.4, while Evans was at 58.5.

Closest one so far IMO. I actually went with Bando because of peak (32.5 WAA (wins above average) vs. 24.0 WAA).

Bando batted .259/.364/.428 with a 127 OPS+ and 56.4 bWAR from 1969-78. That almost matches Evans' career total. Evans deserves credit for being a good player for a long time and his '73 season easily trumps Bando's best IMO, but he had quite a few very meh years mixed in.
